During the first week of my MSN program, I noticed that my course mates in the MSN program at Walden university were going to significantly impact my network. Through various networks with my fellow students, I managed to develop an academic network of individuals with the same goals that included gaining the required knowledge and clinical skills and passing my examinations. The Class Café on Blackboard at Walden university helps to create a network with various students within the class. In addition, there are Facebook and WhatsApp groups that have been created to facilitate networking among students.  Academic Training and Clinical Placement

This team will support me during the MSN program by providing moral support and encouraging me to work hard despite challenges that I may face during my program (Ebrahimi et al, 2016). In addition, the team helps me to realize I am not alone and I have my course-mates to pursue the journey towards graduating with MSN together.

Dr. Andrea Lindell plays the role of overseeing the organizational in the school of nursing at Walden University. Dr. Lindell also plays a big role in overseeing curricular and faculty oversight and supervision of MSN and Doctorate students. In addition, she is also a lecturer in the university. Therefore, Dr. Lindell will provide me with the required guidance in my specialty and at the same time I will consult her and use her as my role model and mentor towards achieving my academic and professional goals. I am confident she will encourage me to work harder and pass my exams.

I read about BluePipes, an organization that is solely dedicated to healthcare practitioners and networking; after learning this information, I realized that the organization would significantly assist me to build and develop my professional network. BluePipes can be utilized to build a professional network and also meet new connections in my specialty of interest. In my opinion, BluePipes will be an ideal means to facilitate new connections and help me get clinical placements and practicums, after completing my MSN program to assist me to get job placement as an MSN prepared nurse.  Social media has been shown to be a helpful resource for professional networking and therefore using an online company like BluePipes will assist me in my nursing career journey (Rolls et al, 2016).   Academic Training and Clinical Placement

Reason for Selecting the Individual/Team and their Support in my Success:

Erick is responsible for coordinating the application process and supporting students to apply to practicum and look for practicum sites. Therefore, when I start searching for clinical placements later on in the program, Erick will be a very important resource to have in my network. Through him, I will be able to obtain clinical placement in various organizations where I will be able to put into practice the learned clinical skills (Sharghi et al, 2015).
