Population of Interest for the Study Patient receiving nursing care. Patients receiving care in a nursing home.
Sample Practical nursing students. Nurse personnel providing care in nursing homes, to include nurse aides, registered nurses, and licensed practical nurses, as well as occupational, speech and physical therapists.
Sampling Method Purposive sampling method that deliberately chose participants due to their unique qualities. Convenience sampling that used seven nursing homes that had agree to participate in the study with the facilities asked to select participants.
