Students should ensure that their work is properly cited, adequately and keenly paraphrased, use of quotations for other people’s work, and using plagiarism checkers such as Turnitin to ensure that the work is not plagiarized (McGee, 2015).

Grammarly is an example of a tool that is very useful in maintaining academic integrity. Grammarly tool has an in-built plagiarism checker that helps in detecting any plagiarism in the papers. Grammarly is mainly used to check grammatical errors in both academic and professional writing, but the tool is also useful in ensuring proper citation of the work (McGee, 2015). Turnitin is another tool useful in ensuring academic integrity. Turnitin helps to check if the paper is plagiarized and highlights all the areas that are plagiarized. The ability to adequately paraphrases ideas of other authors and properly citing the work is an effective tool in ensuring academic integrity.
