Competencies

Communication skills, coaching skills, ability to combineclinical skills telehealth

experience, clinical knowledge, ethical awareness, and supportive attitudes have been seen as the

most important competencies for telehealth nurses.Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), which appeared to be a modern technological advance only yesterday, were quickly out of date as smartphones and tablets allow rapid access to health information databases. Technology-enhanced classrooms (smart classrooms) provide opportunities for teaching and learning through technology integration, such as computers, specialized software, response technology, networking, and audio/visual capabilities. It is hard to imagine the future and further expansion of technology and its application to nursing and education. It is therefore the responsibility of nursing educators to become or remain sophisticated in the use of computer science, clinical simulations and other applications (Keating &DeBoor, 2018).NUR-647E: Telehealth Practice in the Clinical Setting.
