The patient is alert and oriented to person, place, time, and situation. His speech is of normal rate, rhythm, and volume. Their thought processes are logical and goal-directed, although he does show some tangentiality when discussing work-related problems. There is no evidence of hallucinations, delusions, or paranoid ideation. Mr. Brown’s mood is described as “frustrated,” with a congruent affect. He denies suicidal or homicidal ideation.
