One of the most effective fall prevention intervention programs within the community is fall prevention education. The initiative entails imparting the community with fall prevention knowledge and awareness focusing on falls, how to reduce them and improve the general wellbeing as well as provide resources and referrals (Fell et al., 2017). Fall prevention education program increased awareness and knowledge on falls and the importance of prevention. Other findings include reduction of fall rates in the community, improvement of physical wellness, decrease in fall harms and improved safety culture (Kurowski-Burt et al., 2017). These findings relate to the topic and the proposed intervention in that they support they are supported by the objectives of the project.
The proposed project and objectives advocate for autonomy and social justice for individuals and diverse populations. This is evident in the fact that the intervention creates awareness to the community members and gives knowledge regarding falls and their responsibility in prevention. This gives them the right to selfcare and governance in developing a safe culture that prevents falling. On the other hand, the project seeks to distribute resources and knowledge to individuals and diverse populations in the community which supports social justice (Ott, 2018). It ensures equitable access of health awareness and hence promotes physical and psychological security and safety among the diverse persons in the community without favor, discrimination or disparities.
