Ways of Knowing (WOK) Concept map with Narrated Presentation

Over the past 5 weeks, you have been learning about the 5 Ways of Knowing (Chinn et al., 2022).  The purpose of this assignment is to demonstrate your competence in applying the information to your clinical experiences in practice.

Place your clinical aspect/problem Focus into a shaper (such as a rectangular box containing a few words about the clinical aspect/problem), create a connection to the 3 WOKs you’ve selected by placing the name of the WOK (ethical, empiric…) within another shape (such as a circle shape).   Each WOK then branches off to reflect your thoughts about how it connects to the problem or an appropriate intervention.  You could also have lines connect between WOKS, if appropriate.

Organize verbal presentation by briefly introducing background for the concept map, identify each WOK and its branches related to that WOK and its reason.  Conclude.
