Previously, Mike had received warning from his supervisor concerning his reporting time to work. Therefore, Mike was caught up in a dilemma of whether to report to the supervisor first or to address the spillage. Mike flashed back about his responsibilities being the sole provider to his wife and their newborn. Therefore, he chose to clock into the workstationsince slowing down to address the spillage would put him a at a risk of losing his job.
