The Virtual Learning Assignment (VLA) is a faculty-precepted clinical practicum experience. Competency-driven learning activities take place in a standardized virtual learning environment (VLE) which supports consistency between student experiences as well as the opportunity to gauge performance. Students interact with virtual patients and participate in concept labs which simulate real life clinical experiences. The VLA allows the student to explore, analyze, and manage health conditions frequently encountered in the primary care setting.
