Be sure to address political implicatiosn (There are many ways to answer this question. Be sure to construct your answer clearly and concisely and reference required readings.)

 

  1. In what way do we see Shinto values carry forward in time to the Nara period, and how do we see them specifically manifest in architecture and visual culture that is oriented to Buddhist practice? Be sure to be as specific, clear, and concise as possible.
